Cheryl Sorenson, Board Member Cheryl Sorenson is Vice President of the Petroleum Association of Wyoming. PAW is Wyoming’s largest and oldest petroleum industry trade association dedicated to the betterment of the state’s oil and gas industry and public welfare. PAW members, ranging from independent operators to integrated companies, account for approximately ninety percent of the natural gas and two-thirds of the crude oil produced in Wyoming. In her role at PAW she manages the Public Lands Committee, this robust committee deals with Federal and State public land issues along with reclamation, wildlife and species facing ESA listings. Cheryl is a native of Baker, MT and grew up working in her parents oil tool business. She has lived in Wyoming over 10 years. She is active in local and state politics and received the “Forty under 40” award for the State of Wyoming in 2008. Cheryl joined the YPE leadership team in 2010. |
