Dan Pinault, Co-director Dan is a Senior Consultant at Navigant Consulting Inc., a leading strategic advisory firm for the energy industry. His work focuses on strategic planning, clean energy technologies, and market entry and growth strategies for a variety of private and public sector clients. Examples of clients include the U.S. Department of Energy, the US Navy, Natural Resources Canada and Hydro One. Prior to joining Navigant Consulting, Dan worked at Enwave Energy Corporation, a progressive district energy company in Toronto. He completed his Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Management Sciences at the University of Waterloo. Dan worked in Boston for two years, joining YPE in 2008 where he was the Outreach Chair for the Boston Chapter of YPE. |

Kristyn Annis is an Associate for the Business Law Group of McCarthy Tétrault LLP in Toronto. Her practice is in the area of energy (regulatory and general corporate) and Aboriginal law. Kristyn advises a wide range of clients across the energy sector and has particular experience with Ontario's commercial power procurement processes, including the recent renewable energy procurements. Kristyn also frequently represents both gas and electricity clients before the Ontario Energy Board on all types of regulatory matters, and has substantive knowledge of the IESO Market Rules. Kristyn has a strong interest in policy issues affecting the energy sector. Prior to joining McCarthy Tétrault, she served as senior policy advisor to two successive Ministers of Energy of Ontario: the Honourable Dwight Duncan and the Honourable Gerry Phillips. She has a degree in civil engineering from McGill University (2000) and a French Common law Degree (LLB) from L’Université d’Ottawa (2004), as well as a CSC from the Canadian Securities Institute (2006). Kristyn is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and Law Society of Ontario. Kristyn is fluent in French and Spanish. |
