Director - DenverMarcus is the director of greenhouse gas (GHG) programs with Sterling Planet in Denver. Sterling Planet is the leading retail renewable energy provider in the U.S. In his role at Sterling Planet, Marcus works closely with renewable energy and GHG emission reduction project developers to optimize their environmental asset portfolios, including the marketing and trading of green power and carbon offsets. Prior to joining Sterling Planet, Marcus was the associate director of environmental markets with an internationally-focused environmental brokerage firm. Marcus also worked as a management development trainee for NV Nuon Energy Trade & Wholesale, an Amsterdam-based utility. Marcus holds a B.A. in Technical Journalism from Colorado State University and is originally from Cleveland, Ohio. Marcus joined the YPE Leadership Team in 2008.
