Scott used to work for Stone Energy and was responsible for offshore Gulf of Mexico and onshore Louisiana oil/gas assets development. Prior to that, Scott worked at Marathon Oil Company as a reservoir engineer in Technology Service Reservoir Characterization, helped building strategy for Gulf of Mexico Asset Team, and worked as a production engineer in Alaska. He has also worked with Norsk Hydro, now StatoilHydro, in Exploration Portfolio Management, reported to the President and led business development with Asian countries.
Scott was also a Business Development Manager for Explora Seismic Services. He has participated in a number of trainings, externships and shadow programs with Shell, BP, Halliburton, Schlumberger, Collarini Energy. Scott is currently the founder of Chinese International Petroleum Association, Director of Society of Petroleum Engineers Evangeline Section and Chair for the Young Professionals, Editor for SPE - "The Way Ahead", Young Professionals Committee Chair for Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exhibition, former YPE Director of Lafayette, Executive Committee Business Development Chair for Chinese American Petroleum Association, member of Society of Exploration Geophysicists, American Association of Petroleum Geologists.
Scott holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He's also a graduate of General Management program at Stanford Graduate School of Business, Executive Development Program at Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management. He is a M.S. candidate in Petroleum Geology from University of Louisiana, Master of Finance candidate from Tulane University A.B. Freeman School of Business, a native of China and lived in many parts of the country before came to the U.S. and joined the YPE Leadership Team in 2008.
