Director - China
Scott is a reservoir engineer at Stone Energy located at Lafayette, Louisiana. He is responsible for Gulf of Mexico exploitation. Prior to joining Stone Energy, while in college, Scott worked at Marathon Oil Company as a reservoir engineer in Technology Service Reservoir Characterization Group, a member of Gulf of Mexico Asset Team, and as a field production engineer in Alaska. He has also worked with Norsk Hydro, now StatoilHydro, in Exploration Portfolio Management group, and led business development with Asian countries.
Scott was also a Business Development Manager for Explora Seismic Services. He has participated in a number of trainings, externships and shadow programs with Shell, BP, Halliburton, Schlumberger, Collarini Energy, CNOOC, CNPC and Sinopec. Scott is currently the founder of Chinese Leadership Pioneers, founder of Chinese International Petroleum Association, advisor for Business International Student Association, Chairman of Society of Petroleum Engineers Evangeline Section Young Professionals, member of American Association of Drilling Engineers, Society of Exploration Geophysicists, and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and Chinese American Petroleum Association.
Scott holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, Certification in General Management from Stanford Graduate School of Business SIGM, and Executive Education from Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management, is a native of China and lived in many parts of the country before came to the U.S. and joined the YPE Leadership Team in 2008.
