Houston Board

Iann Poole is a Landman with ConocoPhillips Company in Houston. Iann is currently with the South Texas Asset team. Iann negotiates exploration agreements, supports various asset teams and maintains relationships with external stakeholders. Iann is also on the Steering Committee for ConocoPhillips' New Hire Network and works with Child Advocates as a Court Appointed Special Advocate and Guardian Ad Litem.

Iann is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BBA in Energy Management. He joined the YPE Houston Leadership Team in 2008.

Midland/Odessa learns about Nuclear Energy at the CEED August 21, 2008 (MDO) - UTPB educates YPE Midland/Odessa in the MDO YPEs first speaker series. Prior to his employment with Aon, Matt worked for a regional Houston insurance agency in the same capacity. His experience incudes working with clients in upstream oil and gas, utilities/power, and renewable fuels industries. Matt is a graduate of Southwestern University at Georgetown, TX. Stephen Cravens

Founder

Stephen is a second-year MBA student at the Harvard Business School. Prior to HBS, Stephen was an Associate at First Reserve Corporation, the largest and oldest private equity firm focused on the energy industry. His responsibilities included financial modeling, due diligence, execution and monitoring of current and prospective portfolio companies.

Prior to joining First Reserve, he was an investment banking analyst in the Global Energy Group at UBS in Houston. While at UBS, Stephen worked on public and private debt and equity offerings, as well as mergers and acquisitions in the energy industry. He holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin and is a native of Dallas, TX. Stephen co-founded YPE in 2005.

Steve is an Associate at Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell in Houston. Steven practices oil, gas and energy law, and corporate and securities law. His work is primarily focused on upstream and midstream transactions in the energy sector. Mr. Kolos has experience negotiating and drafting oilfield master service agreements, oil and gas leases, gas processing agreements, and gas gathering agreements. He has also represented clients in acquisitions of pipeline assets and acquisitions of producing properties.

Steven received a B.S. magna cum laude from Texas A&M University and a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center. Steven is a native Hallettsville, TX and joined the YPE leadership team in 2008.

Founder Michael Teplitsky is a Senior Associate at Wynnchurch Capital, a $500 million private equity firm. Michael concentrates particularly on the energy and power services sectors as well as on niche manufacturing, business services, and industrial services companies. Prior to Wynnchurch, he was an Associate at Lime Rock Partners, a $3.0 billion global growth capital firm providing private equity capital to energy companies. After completing Lime Rocks associate program, Michael left to pursue his MBA. Rand is an Operations Engineer with Quicksilver Resources, Inc.
