In an effort to help add some greenery to Houston during the drought, please join your fellow YPE members to plant over 150 native flowering vines, shrubs and perennials at the Houston Arboretum on Saturday, February 4th from 8am to noon.

At 8am, we will be given a Welcome Briefing in the Discovery Room. It will include an introduction to the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center, its mission and its history. A Project Orientation segment will cover project scope and work site location. Space is limited to 60 volunteers. We hope to see you there!

Eric Bynum, President Eric is a Senior Developer at Chesapeake where he has worked the last 5 years in their E&P Systems group. His work is primarily focused on designing and developing custom business applications that help Chesapeake manage operations more efficiently. Eric enjoys being active in the community. He is the Treasurer of his neighborhood association, Douglas Edgemere Neighbors, has mentored students at Horace Mann Elementary for the past 5 years, and recently began volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club through the new mentoring program initiated by YPE. Eric earned his degree in Computer Science from the University of Central Oklahoma. He also sits on the the UCO Computer Science Advisory Board to assist with the future direction of the program.
