HOUSTON, TX:  September 30th, YPE Houston held its Tristone Senior Leadership Reception and delivered YPE's most well-attended and highly regarded event to date.  With a crowd of more than 400 in attendance at the Houstonian's Grand Ballroom, there was a dynamic mix of the energy industry's top executives and young professionals.  The room seemed wrapped in conversation and speculation about the "bail out bill" and struggling financial institutions.  That is, until Matt Simmons, Simmons & Co. International, stole the show with his keynote address.  Mr. Simmons spoke about peak oil; the signs and symptoms, the possible effects, and the ever diminishing time that we have to act.  A National Public Radio journalist was there to capture Mr. Simmons' address and its aftermath.  One thing was certain, Mr. Simmons gave each person something to think about and discuss.
