YPE Houston - 2009 Senior Leadership Cocktail Reception - Cap & Trade (11/10/09)

On November 10, 2009, YPE Houston hosted the 2009 Senior Leadership Cocktail Reception highlighting key issues surrounding the national Cap and Trade debate. The discussion was led by a premier group of energy industry veterans including: Chuck Watson (Dynegy Founder), Theodore Roosevelt IV (Barclays Managing Director), Kimberly Powers (Valero Executive Vice President and General Counsel), Dr. Michael Webber (University of Texas at Austin Professor), Charlene Ripley (Linn Energy Senior Vice President), and Richard Sandor (Chicago Climate Futures Exchange Founder). The event was attended by over 500 industry executives and YPE members from a broad array of energy firms. The event sponsors included Wynnchurch Capital, Chevron, Cadent Energy Partners, EDF Trading, Energy XXI, Shell, Anglo-Suisse, Oil and Gas Financial Journal, Linn Energy, CCFE, EnCap Investments, Locke Lord Bissell, Seahawk, ICAP, AON, Pine Brook Road Partners, TEXON, and Wells Fargo Energy Group. This reception marks YPE's third and largest annual leadership forum. YPE hosted Houston Mayor Bill White at the 2006 reception and Simmons and Company founder Matt Simmons at the 2008 reception.
