Ms. Schneider will be giving a presentation on the following topic: “A Discussion on the Transition to a New Energy Economy and How the Economic Downturn Can Work to Your Advantage”

The Global Energy Management (“GEM3”) Program at the University of Colorado Denver Business School would like to invite YPE Members to a speaker series event from 5:30 – 6:30 pm on Tuesday March 16th at The GEM Office Conference Room located on the 5th floor at 1600 Broadway.

About Claudine Schneider:

Ms. Schneider served in the U.S.Congress from 1980-1990. She is the author of the first and only revenue neutral Global Warming Prevention Act ('Cash for Clunkers', 'Energy Star'-first appliance efficiency standards, etc.). Upon leaving congress, Ms. Schneider taught Leadership at Harvard and other universities. She co-founded Energia Global, an international energy services & renewable energy company in 1992.  She served as an Advisor to the Board of National Grid, a British & U.S. utility. Ms. Schneider organized and was the first President of the Solar Alliance - an association of 30 of the world's largest solar manufacturers. Today she is a consultant on business development, strategic communications, market expansion, climate, sustainability, ethics and governance.

Please join us in what will be an educational opportunity to learn from an industry leader, meet current GEM students and explore avenues for advancing a career in the energy industry.
